Business English/French

The need for practical, customized English/French training for executives has never been greater. In today’s business world, the executive who is comfortable and effective in speaking English/French enjoys a tremendous advantage both professionally and personally.

Executive English/French Program is customized to meet the needs of those executives who require a short yet intensive program. It will give them the tools to improve their business English/ French skills in order to communicate effectively in professional and personal settings.

Youth Program

Jump into adventure with summer and winter programs for youth aged 13-17.

Summer and winter youth programs are a perfect opportunity for youth from ages 13-17 to experience language learning in a supportive, fun and engaging atmosphere. Youth Program packages include 17-20 language lessons per week in the mornings, followed by afternoon activities and a full day trip on Saturdays. Students are placed with a carefully selected, supportive homestay family, encouraging them to practice their language skills morning, noon and night. The Youth Program is an exciting learning adventure!

CAMBRIDGE Exam Preparation Mastery

The Cambridge Mastery Program prepares and motivates students towards the Cambridge Main Suite Exams (FCE, CAE, CPE, and BEC). The Cambridge exams are widely recognized in commerce and industry because of their high standards and strict regulations. Cambridge certificates fulfill English requirements for entrance into many universities, colleges and other institutions of further education.

CAE (Certificate of Advanced English)

The Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is the fourth level of the Cambridge exams in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is an advanced exam. Almost all universities in the United Kingdom and a growing number in the USA recognize CAE, as do many employers throughout the world.

CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

The Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) is the highest level of the Cambridge exams in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). CPE is for learners who have achieved a high level of language skills and are able to function effectively in almost any English-speaking context. CPE is an invaluable qualification for anyone who wants to work or study abroad, or to develop a career which requires language skills, including business, medicine, engineering and many other professions. CPE certificates are recognised by institutions of higher education in many countries – including almost all universities in the United Kingdom and a rapidly growing number in the USA. Employers throughout the world also recognize CPE.

FCE (First Certificate in English)

The Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) is the third level of the Cambridge exams in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is an upper intermediate level exam. FCE is designed for learners whose command of English is adequate for many practical everyday purposes, including business and study. Successful candidates will have a wide grasp of vocabulary, and should be able to construct an argument and use appropriate communication styles for a variety of situations. Employers throughout the world recognize FCE. It indicates sufficient proficiency in English to be of practical use in clerical, secretarial and managerial jobs in many industries, in particular tourism, where contact with English speakers is required. Successful candidates have the ability to deal with routine letters and telephone enquiries, and to cope with some non-academic training courses and simple textbooks and articles.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

The IELTS Test is internationally recognized. Educational institutions and government agencies from over 120 countries trust the IELTS test as a valid indicator of ability to communicate in English. In Canada, IELTS is the one test used for immigration purposes and is required for overseas professional to practice in Canada.

TOEFL Preparation

Prepare for success in the standard entrance exam into North American colleges and universities.

TOEIC Preparation

Companies use this test to measure your ability to understand English business-related conversation and literature.

Work Experience Program

The Work Experience Program (WEP) is a specialized program combining intensive English/French study with a paid internship in a Canadian workplace. WEP is a specialized program combining intensive English and/or French study with a paid practicum in the local workplace. Begin by studying English or French through a variety of courses in order to reach a specific language level. Once the target level is achieved, take on internship preparation courses such as Business Writing, Interview Skills or Job Opportunities & Business Success (JOBS) or Job Ready for WEP fast. These are designed to make you highly employable in the job market. Successful completion of these steps results in a paid internship where you can put your skills to the test in an organization and gain work experience. Students may find placements in a number of industries including Tourism and Hospitality, Retail and Administration. Typical entry-level positions vary from customer service and clerical assistance to basic tasks. Average wages will vary depending on the country and the position. Paid/Unpaid Internship Program

The Volunteer Internship Program combines English and/or French language studies with experience in the Canadian workplace. Volunteer Internship Program is an innovative model of enriched education combining English and/or French language studies with a volunteer apprenticeship in a local workplace. Working with a vast and ever-growing network of partner companies, Internship Coordinators are dedicated to placing students in an organization that reflects their interests, work experience and educational background. Internship students will be able to perfect their language skills in a real-world situation while at the same time, adding valuable career experience to their resume.

Teachers Preparation Program

Teaching English or French as a second or foreign language (ESL/EFL/FLE) can be a very rewarding career, offering you the chance to live and work abroad. If you are interested in working with children who are learning English as a second language, you need to have strong English skills yourself. You need to communicate with young ESL learners by using clear and correct English. It is also important to have the necessary teaching vocabulary to work with them. Teacher Training program offerings include the Teaching Young Learners (TYL) Preparation Certificate, the TESOL-TYL Preparation Plus Diploma, the TESOL TKT Certificate Program, the Certificate IV in TESOL, the TESOL Business Certificate and the TESOL Diploma Program, CELTA and CEFLE.

Individual Study

Private teaching caters to your individual learning needs. Scheduling is flexible and all tutors are qualified, experienced teachers. Choices range from 5 to 30 hours per week of one-to-one or small group instruction in Business English, General English, Business French or General French.
